My Dream is to Achieve Someone Else's Dream

Rene Suhardono, the Career Coach once told about this during his session at HardRock FM Jakarta :
"Passion bukanlah segala sesuatu yang dikuasai, namun yang kita cintai. Passion adalah salah satu unsur karir. Karis haruslah melibatkan passion, tujuan hidup, values, ketercapaian dan kebahagiaan"
To be honest, I never believe words came out from a motivator, until I am at my position right know :)

Back in 2010, I was in a very hard time, that is the moment when, me and my husband decided to do the renovation for our house. Newlyweds, with a 6 month son, working in Jakarta, 2 maids, and the renovation process. Long story short, we're in debt. That was a time, when we treated credit card as our life saver. Trapped in debt is not something that we ever plan in our life before, even hard because I am working in that area, and still stuck with it. So that is why, I am really interested in taking the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) course now.

I do not want people feel the way I feel at that time. Really eager to get lost from the debt, I attend all the free seminars, talk, read a book, and ask people for advice without a fail. We make it happen, 6 months on "diet" all the credit card debt is clear. Zero outstanding balance.

We did start a new life. We moved here, I quit my job because I need to follow my husband. I thought at that time my creativity was about to go where the wind blows. But then I decided to used the time to pursue my dream.

The dream that I will share with people. Being a Financial Planner, for me is to help people pursuing their dream, while I pursuing my dream :)
Now I am trying to words out about it in my financial planning blog. Hoping that maybe someday, someone will find it helpful and meaningful.

Satu Jum'at siang, hujan sangat deras.

Blue Mosque Shah Alam

Known as the Blue Mosque, the official name of this mosque is Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Azis. Placed at Shah Alam, the capital city of Selangor State, this mosque is around 30 km from KLCC.

As the name of the Mosque is Blue, so yes, the mosque comes with the blue colour. Almost all ornaments inside and outside the mosque  comes in blue.

-Blue Tiles, taken from the wall-

-Blue Kubah-
- Blue Fan and Light-

So here's the thing, when we get there, the rain is just so heavy. Since the parking lot is in the open space, then we have to bear the wetness. Also, the floor become so slippery even dangerous to step in. The mosque it self is very nice at the inside. But I think it got a poor maintenance. Some of the tiles falls down from the wall when we was there. Maybe it was because the heavy rain.

Since we came on Sunday, there are also some bazaar at the mosque. I don't know whether it is because of the rain, or the bazaar itself always take place at the edge of the mosque. It also ruin the beauty of the mosque, but I bet it is just because of the rain.
-Bazaar-
The bazaar like the usual bazaar at the mosque, sold things such as clothes, dates, qur'an, Islamic books and some kind of things (maybe) coming from Arab.

This mosque also surrounded by a nice park, with a big fountain right in front of the mosque. The fountain is really huge, by the time we're there they turn it off.

We did not have a chance to look around the park, after took some photos and Solat Ashar, we go back.

Not so many story to tell after visiting this place, but I believe, at the first time this mosque was build it is a beauty, only now time passes by the mosque getting older. But for you to know, the main function of this mosque is still there. I saw the mosque still use as the learning place, some kids are there taking their Islamic courses, the business also still there :)
Glad that I've visited this place. Hoping someday I can meet the real Blue Mosque in Istanbul :))

Celebrating Chinese New Year

Xin Nian Kuai Le !!

It is a Chinese New Year seasons greeting in Mandarin.
Today is the CNY itself, but the feel of it already started about a month ago. The decoration not only at the mall, but also in the streets. Lanterns, Red Color, Clothes called CheongSam and Oranges are everywhere. Last night we already heard the sound of the firecracker, but not too loud. Maybe because not so many Chinese people are staying in the town for the Holiday. This CNY is treated as a big "Hari Raya" in Malaysia. This year CNY the holiday starts from Saturday - Tuesday, even the schools are closing for a week.

There are some tradition to celebrate CNY, my friend usually cleans the house, so that they can swept away the bad luck and incoming the good luck in the future. There is also the Angpao giving tradition. Angpao is an envelope filled in with some money, given by someone who's already married to someone that's have not married yet. Other than that, there is also the  reading of the fortune of every Shio.
Well, there is also a tradition for the Chinese people to do at the CNY eve, that is called CNY Dinner. In this dinner, food will be serve in sequence. So, we have to finish the food at the table before another kind of food come. From what I experienced last night, while waiting for the food to come, the restaurant gave us peanuts and Chinese tea.

Here us, waiting for the food to come. Guess how many of my friends are actually celebrating the Chinese New Year..Only 2 :p the rest of it are the cheerleaders..
The first menu to come is called Yi Sang (sorry for the wrong spelling). After this food served, all the person in the table took their chopstick and together mixed the food. While mixing the food they mention their wish for this coming year.

Appearance of the food before brutally mixed by my friends

The mixing process..
Totally mixed up!! Ready to be eat..
After the first food served, then here they comes along the other food. I am not so sure what they serve, but confirmed everything is Halal at this restaurant. Maybe it is for Chinese Muslim community.

The food that served on my very first CNY Dinner..
Enjoying the different culture in the different country. Last word..Happy CNY friendsss..

Malaysia Science Centre

Few weeks ago, Saturday morning we are planning to walk to the park, just as usual. Wearing our walking-to-park outfit, me, my husband and my son, of course, planning to go to the Titi Wangsa Park. That day was just sooo hot, and we already late for the morning walk. Suddenly the idea appears, we totally change our destination. Instead of going to the park, we visit the Malaysian Science Centre or in Bahasa Melayu they call it Pusat Sains Negara.

This place is located at Persiaran Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. It is nearby Royal Selangor Club Bukit Kiara. If your coming from Damansara Area, just follow the LebuhRaya Sprint and take the exit toward Persiaran Bukit Kiara, the place will be on your right.

Arrived in this place, we found out that they are having the StarTrek Exhibition. Actually we are not the fan of it, but we do want to see what's inside the exhibition. We can feel the ambience of the StarTrek start from the door.
-Step Aboard-
-Sign Sticker-

The fee to enter the Science Centre is only RM 6 per person, but if you want to enter  the StarTrek Exhibition it is RM 20 per person. The Science Centre it self is not too big, and not too complete also if we compare to Singapore Science Centre.
Entered the main door, we will find the big Aquarium with many kind of fishes. My son is just so happy to see the fishes flying above him. Go through inside we can find lots of scientific tools, but presented in an attractive way.  I would not mention each of the gallery, you can find in this link. Please don't be too excited by looking to the web, because from what I found the picture at the web is way too good compare to the original look. Hehe.. I think ya..most of the website is like that of course. It is worth seeing though, but maybe one time is enough for me.
This are several pictures taken from the site.. Ohya..we are allowed to take pictures inside the science centre but not at the StarTrek Exhibition area. Food and Drinks is not allowed right after entering the main door of the science centre. But don't worry they have a cafe inside the place.

Lesson Learned - Summon In PJ

So it is one day that I am in a rush to do some transactions at the bank. So I parked my car, without noticing that I parked it at the "big cross yellow box". Actually not really inside the box, but it did touch the line.

Summon Letter
Finish the banking process, I went back to my car then I saw the "saman" (summon) letter put very nicely by the officer stick to the wiper.
Ok, this is my first summon letter that I received here, and after I read the summon's coming from MBPJ. I don't know for sure what's the MBPJ main job, but what I know they will control things run in this city, Petaling Jaya.

Received this letter, I asked my friend what to do with it. Some part of me feel, I will not pay for this summon, it's only a small mistake anyway, but the summon amount is RM100. But then my friend told me that actually it will be cheaper if I can go to the office and ask for some deduction at the office. The legal deduction, so rather than pay RM 100, I only need to pay RM 30 within 7 working days after the summon letter published. Haaa..but still too lazy to go to the office :p

Then I think nevermind RM 100, rather than go to the MBPJ office. So unwillingly I open the MBPJ Website, they really have the e-pay thing for the summon. Login to the account using number of the case stated on the letter, I found how much that I have to pay for the summon. Yes! It's only RM 30 :) haha.. so I think the 7 working days also apply for the e-pay, no need to go to the office. I can choose how to pay, whether use the Debit or Credit Card. So cool!
Not even longer than 5 minutes, finished the process and only pay for RM 30. That's how technology make our life much much easier. I am totally amazed, and really hope that Indonesia government can really have a proper website's like this.
